Sadaf Ahmadi – Recognized as One of the 100 Most Influential Women of 2024

In March 2024, Sadaf Ahmadi was honored by the Swedish newspaper Expressen, being ranked number 22 on the annual list of “100 Most Influential Women of the Year.” This list, announced every year on International Women’s Day March 8  highlights women who have made a significant impact on society through their courage, creativity, and contributions.

Artist 38 years old

She became known worldwide when Borås cultural center halted her exhibition “Concrete Setting” from being displayed. 

Ahmadi’s concrete tribute to oppressed women in Iran and the struggle for justice and rights was considered too

sensitive for the current security situation. 

After extensive protests, the censorship was withdrawn, and Ahmadi’s work was allowed to be displayed – albeit in a more secluded location.
